DIY 2017 IT Pennywise Costume

Usually we know clowns as funny and friendly people, but Pennywise is one of the dark kind. The evil character is well known from the novel ‘It’ by Stephen King which was remastered in 2017 for the cinemas. Pennywise uses children’s fears to get to them and with that characteristic trade and its appearance you have the perfect costume for your next Halloween party – Scary and diabolic, the perfect combination!

DIY Instructions: This is how you create your Pennywise Costume 2017

As the basis of your outfit choose a regular clown costume. As Pennywise´s hair starts relatively far in the back, purchase an orange or red wig with a bald patch. 

The Pennywise 2017 Make-up

Start with a white foundation. In comparison to the Pennywise from the 90´s movie, the 2017 version doesn’t wear a clowns nose. Instead, color your nose red. Use black kajal around your eyes and then focus on the typical curved eyebrows. Use orange or red contacts for your eyes. Pennywise also has red lips. Draw over your lips and extend your corners of your mouth with the red color for the authentic look. To provoke with an even more creepy look use black color for your teeth. Last step: Practice Pennywise´s frightening laugh and you´re ready to go!
